FIDEÖ‰ Three representatives from Armenia are in top 100
18:40 1 September, 2022The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has published the monthly ranking table of chess players. Former Armenian national team leader Levon Aronian (USA) is ranked eighth.
The top 10 includes world champion Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Ding Liren (China), Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia), Alireza Firouzja (France), Wesley So (USA), Hikaru Nakamura (USA), Anish Giri (Netherlands), Fabiano Caruana (USA) and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan).
Representatives of Armenia Gabriel Sargsyan is ranked 32nd, Hayk M. Martirosyan is ranked 80th, and Shant Sargsyan is ranked 87th.
