Reigning champions Inter Milan played host to Bologna in the third round of the new season in the Italian Serie A and won 2-0.

Milan lead the current Serie A standings, with 7 points. Lazio, Torino, and Roma also have 7 points each. Bologna are thirteenth, with 1 just point.
