Cincinnati Masters: Medvedev, Tsitsipas to face each other in semifinals

World number one Daniil Medvedev has advanced to the semifinals of the Cincinnati Masters being held in the US.

In the quarterfinals, the Russian tennis star beat the world No. 13 ranked Taylor Fritz (USA) in two sets—7:6 (7:1), 6:3. The match lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Medvedev will face Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) for a spot at the Cincinnati Masters final. The world No. 7 ranked Greek player defeated John Isner (USA) in three sets—7:6 (7:5), 5:7, 6:3—in their quarterfinals.

Cameron Norrie (UK) and Borna Coric (Croatia) have made up the other semifinal pair.

The Cincinnati Masters prize fund is $6.2 million.
