44th Chess Olympiad: Armenia’s men beat Spain in last round
13:02 9 August, 2022Armenia defeated Spain with a score of 2.5-1.5 in the last round of the men’s competition at the 44th Chess Olympiad being held in Chennai, India, and are currently in first place, with 19 points.
In the previous rounds, Armenia’s men defeated Madagascar, Andorra, Egypt, Austria, England, India's second team and the main team, as well as Azerbaijan, played draw with USA, and lost to Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan compete with the Netherlands in the last round, and the winner of the men’s competition at the 44th Chess Olympiad will be decided in this clash
Armenia’s women are competing with Croatia in the last round. Both teams have 14 points, apiece, and share 11th to 21st places.
