Olympics: Armenian national teams' opponents in 8th round are known

In the 8th round of the World Chess Olympiad taking place in Chennai, India, the opponent of the Armenian men's team will be the first team from India.

In previous rounds, the Armenian team defeated Madagascar (4-0), Andorra (3-1), Egypt (2.5-1.5), Austria (3-1), England (2.5-1.5), the second team from India (2.5-1.5), played a draw against team USA, and topped the standings with 13 points. 

The Armenian women's team will face the Georgian team in round 8.

In its previous rounds, the Armenian women's team defeated Botswana (4-0), Norway (4-0), Ireland (4-0), Indonesia (3-1), England (3.5-0.5), Israel (2.5-1.5), lost to Estonia (1.5-2.5), and with 12 points shares 2-4 places with Ukraine and Georgia.
