In the second round of the WTA-250 tennis tournament in Palermo Elina Avanesyan representing Russia lost to Lucia Bronzetti of Italy 1-6, 3-6.

The game lasted one hour and eight minutes.

Bronzetti's opponent in the quarterfinals will be Caroline Garcia of France.

The prize fund of the tournament in Palermo is 203 thousand euros.
