Wimbledon: Serena Williams loses in first round

Twenty-three-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams lost in the first round of Wimbledon.

The 40-year-old American tennis star competed against world no. 115 Harmony Tan (France), and lost in three sets: 5:7, 6:1, 6:7 (7:10).

The match lasted 3 hours and 14 minutes.

Williams had not played an official singles match for the past one year. 

She is a 7-time Wimbledon champion.
