European Championship opening ceremony: Artsakh flags on stage (photo, video)
00:11 23 May, 2022The opening ceremony of the European Boxing Championship was held in Yerevan's Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. Armenian flag bearer was Narek Manasyan.
During the opening ceremony young men with flags of Artsakh ran onto the stage. The security officers took them away.
The championship will be attended by 219 boxers from 39 countries.
Baregam Harutyunyan (48 kg), Artur Hovhannisyan (51 kg), Janik Sahakyan (54 kg), Artur Bazeyan (57 kg), Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg), Hovhannes Bachkov (63 kg), Gurgen Madoyan (67 kg), Narek Zakharyan (71 kg), Vakhtang Harutyunyan (75 kg), Hambardzum Hakobyan (80 kg), Rafael Hovhannisyan (86 kg), Narek Manasyan (92 kg) and David Chaloian (92+ kg) will represent Armenia at the European Championships.
