Armenian Grandmaster Gabriel Sargsyan won the second place in the European Individual Chess Championship in Slovenia.
Gabriel Sargsyan gained 8.5 points out of 11 and shared the first place with Matthias Blubaugh of Germany, who became the champion by additional points.
In the last round, Sargsyan drew with white pieces against Jaime Santos Latasa of Spain. Blubaugh shared a point with Croatian Ivan Saric.
