ATP: Rafael Nadal to return to top three

Rafael Nadal, the fourth in the world and the 21-time winner of the Grand Slam tournament, will return to the top three of the professional rankings of the Association of Tennis Professionals on Monday due to reaching the final of the Masters tournament in Indian Wells, USA.

Defeating Carlos Alcaraz of Spain in the semi-final of the Indian Wells tournament, Nadal scored 600 rating points and will overtake the representative of Germany Alexander Zverev.

Nadal was left out of the top three in 2021 August. The first in the world is Serbian Novak Djokovic, the second is Russian Daniil Medvedev.
