Real Sociedad captain is seriously injured and will miss six months

Real Sociedad captain Mikel Oyarzabal suffered a cruciate ligament injury in training and will miss at least six months, the club's press office reported. The 24-year-old Spanish midfielder will undergo surgery.

Mikel Oyarzabal has taken part in 33 club matches this season, scoring 15 goals and assisting 4 times.

Oyarzabal's participation in the World Cup finals, to be held in Qatar in November-December, is threatened by this injury.
