Nadal reaches semifinals

Twenty-one-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal has reached the semifinals of the Masters tournament in Indian Wells.

In the quarterfinals the Spaniard beat the Australian Nick Kyrgios 7-6 (7-0), 5-7, 6-4. The match lasted two hours and 48 minutes. 

Nadal will play Spain's Carlos Alcaraz for a ticket to the finals.

The tournament prize fund is $8.5 million.
