Kamo Hovhannisyan comments on Mkhitaryan's resignation from Armenian national team
15:33 4 March, 2022Kamo Hovhannisyan, the defender of the Armenian national team and Kazakhstan's Astana, talked to NEWS.am Sport about the departure of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 33-year-old midfielder of Italian Roma, from the national team.
"Henrikh Mkhitaryan's decision was unexpected, but he knows better than anyone what is right for him. We can only respect his decision and wish him success in his future club career. Henrikh Mkhitaryan's departure cannot have a positive impact on the team," Kamo Hovhannesyan said.
The 33-year-old midfielder has been in Armenia's national team since 2007, scoring 32 goals in 95 games.
