ATP and WTA cancel 2022 Kremlin Cup
22:58 1 March, 2022The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) have canceled the 2022 Kremlin Cup.
The annual tournament was to be held in October in Moscow. The reason is the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian armed forces.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has therefore asked sports federations, organizations and tournament organizers to cancel or reschedule all international tournaments in Russia and Belarus, and not to allow athletes from both countries to participate in international tournaments.
