Russia gets excluded from World Volleyball Championship

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has deprived Russia of the Men's Volleyball World Championship, which was to be held from August 26 to September 11 in 10 Russian cities.

"The FIVB will seek an alternative host country or countries to ensure that the global volleyball family, including national federations, athletes, officials and fans all feel safe and proud to be part of a celebration of the sport. happy and peaceful," the federation said in a statement.

Due to Russian military action in Ukraine, all scheduled tournaments in Russia have been cancelled or postponed.
