IOC to cancel award in women's figure skating if Kamila Valieva wins medal

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will not hold an awards ceremony in the women's singles skating if 15-year-old Russian Kamila Valieva is the medalist, according to the IOC website.

Kamilla Valieva tested positive for doping in December, but the Court of Arbitration, considering her age, allowed her to continue participating in the Beijing Games.

Valieva won the Beijing Games title as part of the Russian national team, but the awards ceremony did not take place.
