Beijing 2022: Rafael Harutyunyan's student Nathan Chen sets world record in short program (PHOTOS)

The short program was performed by the participants of the men's singles competition at the XXIV Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. American figure skater Nathan Chen, led by Rafael Harutyunyan (USA), took first place in the world record. Nathan Chen scored 113.97 points.

The previous record (111.82) was set in 2020 by two-time Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu from Japan, who made mistakes in Beijing and took 8th place in the short program with 95.15 points.

Japan's Yuma Kagiyama (108.12) and Shoma Uno (108.12) are in the next two places.

The free program is on February 10.
