Winter Olympics torch relay kicks off in Beijing
09:26 2 February, 2022The torch relay of the Winter Olympics has started Wednesday in Beijing.
More than a thousand torchbearers will carry the Olympic fire through the area of the most famous historical and modern sights and structures of the Chinese capital.
The torch relay will be held for three days.
The opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics will take place Friday at the Beijing National Stadium, where the opening ceremony of the 2008 Summer Olympics was held.
From Armenia’s representatives, cross-country skiers Mikayel Mikayelyan, Katya Galstyan, and Angelina Muradyan have already left for Beijing. Figure skating ice dance pair Tina Garabedian and Simon Proulx Senecal will head from Canada to Beijing.
