Vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for footballers in Brazil

The Brazilian Football Confederation has introduced new anti-coronavirus restrictions in the national championship.

According to the new rules, in 2022 only vaccinated football players will be able to participate in the Brazilian championship, the Confederation website reports. The clubs have already received the new medical requirements and must submit the players' vaccination certificates to the Confederation Medical Committee.

The Brazilian championship will start in April and end in November.
