Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk turned down Russia’s FC Zenit Saint Petersburg’s offer to buy Armenian national football team and Shakhtar midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Ukrainian club’s manager Mircea Lucescu stated.

“We are doing everything to keep him in the team. At any rate, each player has his price. Henrikh is still very young, he has a wonderful career ahead of him,” La Gazzetta dello Sport quotes Lucescu as saying.

To note, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has played in eleven games and scored fourteen goals so far in the current season of the Ukrainian league.
