Australian Open: World no. 2 Daniil Medvedev advances to second round

World number two Daniil Medvedev has advanced to the second round of the Australian Open.

The Russian tennis star beat Henri Laaksonen (Switzerland) in three sets in the first round. The match lasted 1 hour and 54 minutes.

In the second round, Medvedev will face the winner of the first-round clash between Liam Broady (UK) and Nick Kyrgios (Australia).
