Ancelotti comments on victory over Barcelona
13:38 13 January, 2022Real Madrid's Italian head coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on the 3-2 victory over Barcelona in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup. The main time of the match in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, ended with a score of 2-2. In the extra time, the Whites were able to score 1 goal and win.
“We were very effective at the start and on the counter. We failed to concede goals due to fatigue. The counter-attack was very effective. Good image of Spanish soccer. Barcelona played well and the match was very even. They caused us problems in the crosses, something they don't usually do," Ancelotti said.
He added that it was an even match and the first half goal was due to bad luck, the second half was more even.
In the final to be held on January 16, Real’s opponent will be the winner of the Atletico - Athletic pair. That match will take place on January 13 and will start at 11pm Yerevan time.
