Copa del Rey: Real advance to Round of 16

Real Madrid were hosted by Alcoyano—representing the Primera Division RFEF, the third tier of the Spanish football league system—in the Round of 32 in Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup).

And the current La Liga leaders won 3-1 and reached the Round of 16 of this Spanish national football tournament.
