Basketball legend Michael Jordan tops sports business magazine Sportrico's list of the 25 highest paid athletes in history.

The respective calculation includes athletes' salaries, prize money and bonuses, advertising and sponsorship revenues, and exclusive rights’ fees.

The earnings of golfer Albert Palmer and basketball great Kobe Bryant were calculated until their death.

The total earnings of these 25 highest paid athletes in history from eight sports have amounted to $25.5 billion.
