Alina Balayan becomes Russia women's rapid chess champion

The Russian Women's Rapid Chess Championship, which was held in Sochi, ended with the victory of Russian Armenian International Master Alina Balayan.

In this competition between 95 participants, Balayan scored 9 points out of 11 possible and left half a point behind the second-placed, Baira Kovanova.
