Levon Aronian (Armenia) faced Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan) and won in three games in the last round of the Champions Chess Tour Finals online rapid chess tournament

As a result, Aronian placed third in this competition.

The reigning World Chess Champion, Magnus Carlsen (Norway), had already clinched the title in this tournament two rounds ago.
