PSG’s coaches hope the team’s newcomer, 34-year-old Argentine forward Lionel Messi manages to recover before the match against Manchester City in the second round of the UEFA Champions League to be held on September 28.

Messi won’t play against Metz and Montpelier in the next two rounds of the French championship, L’Équipe reports.

Messi received a knee injury during the match against Lyon in the sixth round of the French championship and was substituted. PSG defeated Lyon 2-1.
