Roma’s senior player Lorenzo Pellegrini will sign a new deal with Jose Mourinho’s team. Mourinho announced the news after the team outscored BKMA Sofia 5-1 in the first round of the Europa Conference League, gazetta.it reports. Pellegrini scored a double during the match.

The 25-year-old midfielder’s current contract ends after this season. In 2017, Pellegrini returned to Roma, and in 2015, he left the team and joined Sassuolo. His annual salary will be EUR 3,000,000.

Pellegrini is the first footballer in history to score goals in the group stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.
