Serie A: Roma win in Mourinho's 1,000th match, Mkhitaryan plays 70 minutes

Roma hosted Sassuolo in the third round of the Italian Serie A.

And the 1,000th match (640 wins, 198 draws, 162 defeats) in the coaching career of Roma’s Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho ended with a 2-1 win.

Armenian national team captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan was in the starting lineup of Roma, and he was subbed off in the 70th minute.

Roma have risen to first place, with 9 points, in the current Serie A standings. Milan and Napoli also have 9 points. Sassuolo are ninth, with 4 points.
