European women’s chess championship: Armenia’s Sargsyan wins, equals compatriot Danielian

Grandmaster Elina Danielian (Armenia), who started with three wins at the ongoing European Individual Women’s Chess Championship 2021 in Romania, played a draw with Gunay Mammadzada (Azerbaijan) in the fourth round of this tournament.

Separately, Anna M. Sargsyan (Armenia) defeated Anastasia Bodnaruk (Russia) and, garnering 3.5 points, now shares 2nd to 9th places with Danielian and seven other chess players.

A total of 117 female chess players from 29 countries are competing in this championship.
