Armenian fans greeted at the airport the medal winners of the 32nd Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

On August 5, at 03:55, Tokyo-Vienna-Yerevan flight returned home from Olympic Tokyo to two-time Olympic vice-champion in weightlifting Simon Martirosyan (109 kg) and Olympic Games gymnastics bronze medalist Arthur Davtyan.

Simon Martirosyan and Arthur Davtyan's parents, relatives, and friends, all members of the men's gymnastics and weightlifting teams came to meet the Olympic medals. The youngest of the greeters was the 2-year-old daughter of European champion, winner of the European Games Arthur Davtyan, who waited for more than 2 hours after the landing of the plane bringing the medalists to Armenia for the champion father to come out and appear in his arms. The initiative to greet the Olympic medals with a trumpet was made by the Secretary-General of the Armenian Gymnastics Federation Sahak Antonyan.

European champion, European Games champion Arthur Davtyan registered a historic achievement at the Tokyo Olympics, bringing the first medal to independent Armenia in the Olympic gymnastics tournament after a 41-year break.

Armenia won 3 more medals at the 32nd Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo: two silver and one bronze.
