Tokyo 2020: Boxer Arman Darchinyan begins with victory

Arman Darchinyan, Armenia’s representative at the boxing tournament of the Olympic Games in the 75 kg category, began with a victory today. In the 1/8 final, the boxer from the Armenian city of Vanadzor confidently defeated vice-champion of the European Games, the winner of the European Youth Championship, 23-year-old Slovak Andrej Csemez 5-0.

On August 1, Darchinyan will face off against Philippine Eumir Martial in the quarter-final.
