Tokyo 2020: 24 cases of COVID-19 reported, 64 Australian athletes isolated

The Australian team of Atletico has been isolated as a whole due to a positive coronavirus test of one of the athletes at the Tokyo Olympics, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

63 Australian athletes were separated in isolation rooms. Coronavirus has been confirmed by American pole vaulter, who had contacts with Australian pole vaulter and other members of the Australian team.

As a result of the tests conducted on July 28, 24 cases of coronavirus infection have been reported. Three of them are athletes. The total number of infected people has reached 198.

The Tokyo Games will last until August 8.
