Tokyo 2020: Armenia to be represented by 1 participant on July 28

One athlete will represent Armenia at the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo tomorrow.

Swimmer Varsenik Manucharyan will participate in the 100-meter freestyle tournament and is included in Swimming – Heat 2 Results. The tournament is set to kick off at 2:04pm Armenia time.

Varsenik Manucharyan was born on July 11, 2003 in Yerevan. She is a multiple junior, youth and adult champion of Armenia and record-setting athlete who has won international competitions.

The first serious trial for Varsenik Manucharyan at an international championship was in 2017 at the European Olympic Festival in Hungary where she improved her results, but didn’t receive a prize.

She became champion of the Pan-Armenian Games in 2019.

Manucharyan, 17, is the youngest member of the Armenian Olympic team.

She scored a pass to Tokyo 2020 through a white card.
