Solely 950 guests will attend Friday’s opening ceremony of the 32nd Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, L'Equipe reported.

This event will be held without spectators—and due to the coronavirus-related restrictions.

Only officials and journalists will be present in the stands.

Leaders of 15 countries are expected to attend the opening ceremony.

Swimmer Varsenik Manucharyan and boxer Hovhannes Bachkov will be the flag bearers of Armenia during the opening ceremony of these Olympics.

Armenia will have 17 athletes competing in eight sports.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics had been postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
