Armenia’s Frangulyan to make MMA debut

European freestyle wrestling championship bronze medalist Valodya Frangulyan (Armenia) will make his debut in mixed martial arts (MMA).

He will fight in the Gladiator Challenge to be held Saturday in California.

In wrestling, Frangulyan competed in the 65kg weight category.

Valodya Frangulyan, as well as Greco-Roman wrestling world and European champion Maksim Manukyan (Armenia) are training in Los Angeles in recent times.

Manukyan will make his MMA debut on August 7.
