Karabakh’s Danielyan wins World Sambo Championships
19:45 2 October, 2012Armenia’s Ashot Danielyan won the champion’s title in the 82 kg category at the Sambo World Cup Stage dedicated to Aslanbek Aslakhanov. Danielyan is an athlete of the Stepanakert’s “Artsakh” Sports Club, and multiple winner of European and world championships. Another Armenian athlete Mavrik Nasibyan also from Artsakh won a silver medal in the combat sambo in the 82 kg category.
To note, the “Artsakh” club qualified for the finals of the “2012 Young Sambo Wrestler” international tournament, which will be held in Moscow from Oct. 26 to Oct. 29.
