Copa America: Brazil reach semifinals
09:55 3 July, 2021The Brazil national football squad have qualified for the semifinals of Copa America, which they are hosting.
In the quarterfinals, the five-time World Cup champions beat Chile 1-0.
In the semifinals, the Brazilians will face Peru, which beat Paraguay on penalties in their quarterfinal match; the main time of this game had ended in a 3-3 tie.
The Argentina vs. Ecuador and Uruguay vs. Colombia quarterfinal matches will be played Saturday.
The current Copa America champions are Brazil, which had beaten Peru in the previous final of this tournament.
