Wimbledon: Karen Khachanov reaches 1/8 final
17:49 2 July, 2021Russia's Karen Khachanov reached the 1/8 final of the Wimbledon tournament. The Armenian tennis player competed with the American Frances Tiafoe and gained an advantage in three sets: 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
The competition lasted 1 hour, 46 minutes.
For a ticket to the quarterfinals, Karen Khachanov will face the winner of the clashes between the British Daniel Evans and the American Sebastian Korda.
Karen Khachanov reached the 1/8 final of the Wimbledon tournament for the second time in his career. The last time he had such success in 2018.
The prize fund of the Wimbledon tournament is 35 million pounds. The winner of the singles will receive 1.7 million pounds.
