Euro 2020: Quarterfinals getting underway
09:44 2 July, 2021The quarterfinals of the 16th European Football Championship (Euro 2020)—which was postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic—will start Friday. There will be two matches on the first day of the quarterfinals.
First, Spain will face—in Saint Petersburg, Russia—Switzerland, which had eliminated reigning World Cup champions France in the Round of 16.
The second match of the day will be played in Munich, Germany, where Italy and Belgium—two of the main favorites of the tournament—will clash.
The winners of these two games will lock horns in the semifinals of Euro 2020.
