Marcelo becomes Real Madrid new captain

In the new season, the captain of Real Madrid will be Brazilian defender Marcelo, said the Whites president Florentino Perez.

“Marcelo will be our captain next season. It's difficult to find another LB like Marcelo. Him and Roberto Carlos have been the best in the history”, Florentino said.

33-year-old Marcelo has been playing for Real since 2007.
