Barcelona to announce signing of new deal with Messi on June 24

Barcelona is preparing to extend the current deal with team captain Lionel Messi, El Chiringuito TV reported.

Barcelona will officially announce the deal on June 24. The parties have reached an agreement on all issues. All that remains is to sign the documents. The Argentine striker's new contract will run until the summer of 2023.

Messi wanted to leave Barcelona last summer, but the club did not let him go. His current deal expires in 2021.
