Aren Israyelyan scores gold medal at European Junior Championships
23:13 16 June, 2021Aren Israyelyan scored the second gold medal for the Armenia national wrestling team at the European Junior Freestyle Wrestling Championships after defeating Russian freestyle wrestler Dukhayev at the final for the 71 kg category, the press service of the Football Federation of Armenia reports.
The Armenia junior team secured second place in the team count of the European championships, falling behind Russia.
Andranik Avetisyan had scored a gold medal in the 55 kg category.
Sargis Begoyan (48 kg category), Anushavan Barseghyan (65 kg category) and Narek Grigoryan (80 kg category) scored bronze medals.
