Euro 2020: Italy beat Turkey in opening match

Italy started with a victory the 16th European Football Championship (Euro 2020), which was postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, in the opening match of which they hosted Turkey.

In the match in Rome, the hosts won 3-0.

In Group A, Turkey will compete also with Wales (June 16) and Switzerland (June 20). Italy will play against Switzerland on June 16 and face Wales on June 20.
