FIDE: Levon Aronian is ranked 5th, Hayk Martirosyan among top chess players for first time

FIDE has released the updated table of top chess players in which Levon Aronian is still ranked 5th (the chess grandmaster’s coefficient is 2781).

World champion, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen is still FIDE’s leading chess player, followed by Fabiano Caruana and Liren Ding, as well as Ia Nepomniachtchi, Anish Giri, Alexander Grishchuk, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Wesley So and Teimour Radjabov.

Out of Armenia’s representatives, Gabriel Sargsyan is ranked 55th, while Hrant Melkumyan is ranked 96th. Hayk Martirosyan, who is ranked 100th, has been included in the list of the top 100 chess players for the first time.

In the women’s ranking table, Elina Danielyan is ranked 55th, Anna Sargsyan — 61st, and Lilit Mkrtchyan — 73rd.
