Center-back for FC Astana and the Armenia national football team Varazdat Haroyan will continue his career in Cadiz of La Liga, the football club’s press service reports.

Haroyan, 28, has signed a contract with the Spanish football club until 2023 and is the second Armenian footballer to play in Spain’s La Liga after Aras Ozbilis.

President of Cadiz Manuel Viscano collaborated with manager of the Armenia national team Joaquin Caparros in Sevilla.

This past winter, Haroyan left Russia’s FC Tambov and moved to FC Astana in February 2021. Transfermarkt rates his transfer price at EUR 800,000.

During the current Kazakh championship, the Armenian footballer played 10 matches, scored one goal and made one pass for a goal. He has previously played for FC Pyunik (2009-19), Iran’s Padideh (2016-17) and FC Ural Yekaterinburg (2017-20).
