Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka has called on players with non-traditional sexual orientation for coming out.

According to him, the footballers' coming-out will open the way for many people who will not have to hide their sexual orientation.

As a club, a team, a fan, and a community, we need to encourage the players who have come out, to judge them by their game, not by their sexual orientation, Goretzka was quoted as saying by StN.

Goretzka, 26, has made 32 appearances for Bayern Munich this season, scoring eight goals and making nine assists.
