Mason Greenwood exceeds Wayne Rooney's record

Manchester United’s striker Mason Greenwood has exceeded the record set by the football club’s legendary Wayne Rooney.

After scoring a goal during the game with Aston Vila in the 35^th leg of the English football championship, the English footballer, who hasn’t turned 20 yet, scored his 16^th goal. Rooney scored 15 goals in the English football championship as a member of Manchester United before turning 20.

In February 2021, Greenwood and Manchester United signed a new contract that will end in June 2025.
