Madrid: Karen Khachanov defeated after first match

World’s 23^rd racket, Russia-based Armenian tennis player Karen Khachanov didn’t start out well at the Masters Championship taking place in Madrid.

In the first round, the Armenian athlete competed with Japanese Kei Nishikori and was defeated in 3 sets (7-6, 2-6 and 2-6). The game lasted 2 hours and 18 minutes.

In the second round, Kei Nishikori’s opponent will be German tennis player Alexander Zverev.
