Russian hockey team's four-time world champion commits suicide

Former member of the Russian national hockey team Roman Geizel has committed suicide by shooting himself with a firearm, Советский спорт (Sovetski Sport) reports.

Roman Geizel ended his career due to a heavy injury at the age of 32. He played as a goalkeeper with the Russian team at world championships six times, and he scored the champion title in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011.
